Kappa Delta

Our Officers

Hannah Boaz

President

Hey everyone! My name is Hannah Boaz and I am a Senior from Pittsboro, North Carolina, currently studying Elementary Education. After graduation I plan to stay in the mountains of North Carolina to teach and stay involved with Kappa Delta as an alumna. When I am not serving Kappa Delta as President I am a part of the Appalachian Student Ambassadors Organization which serves three offices: University Admissions, the Appalachian Alumni Association, and the Office of the Chancellor. In my spare time I love to swim, kayak, and explore the Blue Ridge Parkway with my dog Schuman!

Hailey Wiseman

Vice President-Membership Education

Hi! My name is Hailey Wiseman and I am serving KD as Vice President-Member Education. I'm a senior from Hickory, North Carolina, and majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management! I'm a Student Caller for the Appalachian Fund and an AppolCorps Director because I'm passionate about Appalachian and helping everyone find their home at the place I love the most. Kappa Delta has given me so many things-- best friends, confidence, and memories I'll hold dear for the rest of my life! I'm so excited to give back to Kappa Delta in this capacity, and I cannot wait to meet all of the wonderful new women that will be running into our arms in September!

Mallory Outen

Vice President-Membership

My name is Mallory Outen, and I am the current VP-Membership of Kappa Delta Sorority here at ASU. I am a Senior studying Health Promotion with a minor in Sociology. I love singing and pageantry, where I enjoyed amazing years as a titleholder in the Miss America Organization. I also love watching college football, hanging out with friends and family, shopping, and eating good food. I find my passion in my faith, healthy living, getting involved in my community, and of course Kappa Delta. Kappa Delta has been a wonderful resource for me in my college years. It has already given me lifelong family, a network of amazing and inspiring women, and people I know I will carry through the many exciting life events after college.

Anderson Clayton

Vice President Operations

My name is Anderson Clayton, and I currently serve my chapter as the Vice President of Operations! I'm a junior Political Science and Journalism double major from Roxboro, North Carolina. My goal is to one day run for state office and fight on behalf of issues that directly affect women and children. I joined Kappa Delta because our mission is to instill confidence in women and girls, an initiative that I believe sets us apart from any other organization. Aside from my chapter involvement, I currently serve as the Student Body President at ASU. Kappa Delta has given me so many things, but one of those is a support system like no other. Without my sisters, I would not be where I am today, making this type of impact on my college campus.

Abby Miskew

Vice President Community Service

My name is Abby Miskew. I am a junior from Cary, North Carolina. I am studying Communications Sciences and Disorders in hopes of becoming a Speech Language Pathologist. I am really passionate about helping others and enjoy serving my community. I especially love working with children and the girl scouts! I also enjoy traveling; one of my favorite spots I've been to is Greece. I am looking forward to planning more fun girl scout and service events. Kappa Delta has given me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and explore new things! I have made friendships and memories that will last a lifetime, and I have my sisters to thank for that.

Sydney Hand

Vice President Public Relations

Hey everyone!! My name is Sydney Hand and I am currently serving as the Vice President of Public Relations for our chapter here at Appalachian. I am a junior Public Relations major with a minor in Sociology, from Raleigh, North Carolina. I hope to one day become a news anchor for a news station in a big city! A few things about me: I love people and I am a huge people person, so majority of my free time I am hanging out with my friends, either shopping, doing something outdoors, or just chilling around watching tv. Sushi is my favorite food and I absolutely love movies! Kappa Delta has given me so many opportunities and I could not be more thankful for this organization. The woman that I have met through this organization are my best of friends and I can’t wait to continue every stage of life with them! I am excited to see what the rest of my time here in Kappa Delta holds and I have several more PR events for us in the future!
